Awareness programme held

SHILLONG: The KJP Synod Sepngi, through the Urban Mission Department, in collaboration with the Office of the District Social Welfare, East Khasi Hills District organised an awareness programme on Thursday, which coincided with the International Day against Drugs abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Mawlai Mawdatbaki (Lai Lad Pdengshnong). Rev. B. Syiem, the Director Urban Mission, and Sandra Ryngnga, Deputy Director, Social Welfare spoke on the occasion. There was also a special address on the evils of drugs abuse, and also the laws related to drugs abuse and trafficking, from M. Kharkrang, the Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills.
