KK Paul gets additional charge of Nagaland

NEW DELHI: Meghalaya Governor KK Paul has been asked to discharge the duties of the Governor of Nagaland in addition to his own duties after President Pranab Mukherjee accepted the resignation of Dr. Ashwani Kumar as Governor of Nagaland.
The arrangement will continue till a regular appointment is made in Nagaland, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Friday.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan also announced that Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah will discharge the functions of the Governor of Karnataka, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements are made.
He will take charge from H.R. Bhardwaj who completes his tenure on Saturday.
Vakkom Purushothaman, Governor of Mizoram, will discharge the functions of Tripura Governor in addition to his own.
He will take charge from Devanand Konwar who also completes his tenure on Saturday. (UNI)
