One knocked down

On June 28 at around 1.45 pm, one Tata Sumo driven by Stadbha Mynsong knocked down one minor girl Rimaya Pyrtuh (2 yrs 10 months) at Pomlahier East Khasi Hills. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Mawryngkneng PHC and later referred to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Minor arrested

On June 27 night, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti car belonging to Rakshen Sangma from Mawblei, Shillong. Later, during checking at Mawblei, Shillong, Police intercepted the stolen car and arrested a 13-year-old occupant. However, the driver managed to escape.

Bike abandoned

On June 27 at around 2.30 pm, police recovered one abandoned motorcycle (ML-05A-4360) at Lumsohphoh, Spring side, Shillong and towed the same to Laitumkhrah police station.

Vehicle recovered

On June 27 night, unknown miscreants stole one Tata Sumo (ML-05H-0274) belonging to one Lal Babu Rai from the residence of its driver Rana Prasad Das at 5th Furlong, Polo, Shillong. However, on June 28 at around 8.50 am, the stolen vehicle was recovered from Polo parking lot, Shillong.

Arrest

On June 26, police arrested three persons, Jenuth G Momin (19) and two minors (14 years each) in connection with burglary case under Nangalbibra police station .

Abductee escapes

On June 26 at around 9 pm, one Sanjay Mahanta (20) of Mendipathar, Nepali Basti under Krishnai police station , Assam, verbally reported at Jadi outpost in South Garo Hills that on June 21, unidentified miscreants abducted him and kept him in a jungle. However, he managed to escape.

Minor raped

A woman lodged a complaint at Mawkyrwat PS that on June 16 at about 4 pm, two boys, 16-year-old and 17-year-old respectively raped her 15-year-old daughter in a forest at Krem Mawiawwiar in South West Khasi Hills.

Theft at Leshka site

Bisher Lyngdoh, EE (C), Myntdu Leshka Civil Division, lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on June 9, during inspection at Suchen Colony in East Jaintia Hills, he found that unknown miscreants have stolen 114 doors.
