Arrest

On June 30, Police arrested Baraduddin (35), Raplang Pde (27) and Rosterland Jyrwa (32) from Mawprem for possession of heroin (less than 1 gram).

On June 28, police arrested one Boin Paslein (33) and one Sen Paslein (23), in connection with a murder case under Saipung PS.

On June 27, Police arrested Sengran D Sangma (23) and Anon Marak (18) in connection with a kidnapping case under Songsak PS.

Police arrested one Donal Sohlangpiaw (28) in connection with a theft case under Nongstoin PS.

Assault

On June 29, unknown miscreants entered the residence of Thangmuanlal Munsang at Brabin Mansion, Veronica Lane, Laitumkhrah, assaulted him and snatched away one digital camera valued around Rs. 50,000.

On June 28 around 2.30 am, unknown miscreants in one Maruti Alto car (number not known) waylaid one truck, assaulted its driver, Sitronjit Kalita (29) and seized Rs. 25,000 from him, at Lalsharai, Ri-Bhoi.

On June 28 evening, unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the staff of Shillong Municipal Board (SMB) at Polo Bazaar, Shillong. As a result, one SMB staff Bijender Rai sustained injuries and was removed to NEIGRIHMS.

On June 28 at about 10.20pm, Lukshar Umlong (24), Michaelson Kharpran (22), Makestar Mukhim (20), Ricky Nongdhar (18) and Arnot Kharkongor (23) assaulted one Adison Kharumnuid (31) at Mawlai Mawtawar, Shillong. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Rape attempt

On June 28 around 12.30 am, one Rangki Warjri attempted to rape his twenty-year-old niece at Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong.

Body found

On June 27, one employee of Power Grid Sub-Station Khliehriat (EJH) Akun Boro (59), was found lying dead in his room. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under inquiry.

Robbery

One Champa Das lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on June 24, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Hawakhana, Tura (WGH) and stole a laptop, steel almirah and other household articles valued around Rs. 6,33,000.

Fraud

Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on June 21, one Tining Mylliem cheated PDS beneficiaries of Nongmadan village (EKH) by not providing them the essential commodities while fraudulently withdrawing the commodities and selling them at higher rates with the help of the headman.
