SHILLONG: District Council Affairs (DCA) Minister HDR Lyngdoh has ruled out any possibility of imposing administrative rule in KHADC in view of the alleged dictatorial style of functioning of the present Executive Committee (EC) under the leadership of Ardent Miller Basaiawmiot.

“The present situation does not warrant imposition of the ‘administrative rule’ in the Council,” Lyngdoh, who is also an MDC, told newsmen here on Tuesday.

When asked if it was mandatory for the Executive Committee to seek the views of Hima before tabling any Bill on the floor of the House, the DCA Minister refused to comment on it.
