SHILLONG: Three KHADC MDCs – HDR Lyngdoh, Metbah Lyngdoh and HB Nongsiej – have been found to be the most inactive with not a single question being raised by any of them in the last two sessions of the Council.

The three MDCs, who are also sitting legislators, were found to be uninvolved in the proceedings of the House even as Nongsiej was once caught reading a newspaper while the session was in progress.

Sohiong MDC HDR Lyngdoh (Congress) was expected to lead through example, being the senior-most member of the Council. He, incidentally, attended only two days out of the six working days of the latest session of the KHADC which concluded on Tuesday. During these two days, he was present in the House for a total time of only around 10 minutes.

Mairang MDC Metbah Lyngdoh (UDP) was present on four days but did not utter a single word in the session.

Mawthadraishan MDC HB Nongsiej was also found wanting since he too did not join in any discussion in the House.
