SHILLONG: The State Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, who is under fire from some Congress legislators and the AICC for campaigning against the official candidate of the Congress Vincent Pala who contested and won from Shillong in the last Lok Sabha polls , on Tuesday said that the matter would be sorted out internally.

Asked about his comments on the issue, Dhar said, “I do not want to make any comment at this moment. All I want to say is that this is an internal matter of the party and we will solve it internally”.

A section of the legislators recently targeted Chief Minister Mukul Sangma for not taking action against Dhar and other legislators for campaigning against Pala.

Later, the matter was also discussed by the AICC leaders, who questioned the state Congress leaders for not initiating steps to take action against those who got themselves engaged in anti-party activities.
