SHILLONG: A thirty-year-old woman security guard, P Bina who was manning the Shillong Golf Course was allegedly beaten up by a group of youth after she prevented them from playing football in the golf course on Friday.
Sources informed that one of the youth, Iengskhem Khyriem assaulted the women security guard with her security stick. Police arrested Khyriem after the relatives filed an FIR.
Police said that the group of boys who are students were actually playing football in the Golf Course after which the security guard objected and they were allegedly pushed.
When contacted, police said that it is a minor issue and both parties have amicably solved the matter.
However, SP M Kharkrang said that an FIR has been lodged and police will take up a case in this regard. He also said that the police are arresting many boys.
