Another report on Tura girls assault case submitted

SHILLONG: After the submission of a magisterial probe into the assault on 12 Tura girls, the Meghalaya State Commission for Women has submitted another inquiry report on the issue to the Social Welfare Department.

An official of the Social Welfare Department said on Monday that department is going through the report submitted by the Women’s Commission.

According to sources, unlike the magistrate S C Sadhu who did not meet the girls for taking their statements, the Women’s Commission met the girls and took their statements.
