Army personnel rescue young lives

SHILLONG: The quick and prompt action by Army personnel of Assam Regiment Centre (ARC) C helped to save precious lives of young boys who met an accident near the main gate of ARC on Monday evening.
Around, 21 Boys were returning from Mawsbhuit village in an overloaded Sumo registered number ML 05 G 9057 after their football game, when the sumo driver lost control of the vehicle  near main gate of Assam Regimental Centre, which resulted in accident.
The army personnel from Assam Regimental Centre who were in vicinity, quickly evacuated the injured to the nearest MI Room of the Centre where the Regimental Medical Officer administered First aid to the injured and managed the casualties. One boy, Immanuel Lalrokung resident of Demthring was fatally injured.  Nine critically injured boys, were speedily evacuated with utmost urgency for further treatment by resources of ARC.
