Accidents across Meghalaya

l A Maruti Ritz (AS01AQ – 6107) coming from Mankachar and heading towards Guwahati hit a milestone on the side of the road at Mikkasimdim under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills. Five occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries during the collision which happened on July 13, 2014 at 11:30 am. Abdul Hasan (50, M), Johira Begum (43, F), Afrida Hussain (17, F), Raihan Hussain (7, M) and Asni Begum (8, F) were shifted to Bajengdoba PHC.

l A Ford Figo (AS01AN – 3992) hit a tree on the side of the road when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a turning at Anogre under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills. The incident happened on July 13, 2014 at around 1 pm when the vehicle was travelling towards Tura from Guwahati. Kusum Burman (72, F) and Aparba Burman (42, F) were admitted at Tura Civil Hospital.

l An auto-rickshaw goods carrier travelling towards Betasingh from Ampati overturned when the driver of the vehicle was unable to control the vehicle on a turning. Two occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries during the incident which happened at Anogre under Betasingh Block, South West Garo Hill on July 12, 2014 at 8:30 am. Deboraj Hajong (25, M) and Kanu Koch (55, M) were shifted to Ampati CHC.

In all the above cases the 108 Emergency Services ambulances deployed across the State helped to shift the injured persons to the nearest medical centres.
