Literary award for city resident

SHILLONG: City resident Dr. Anita Panda has been conferred the ‘Lady of the Age’ award for her outstanding contribution to Indian literature and Culture at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during the 12th All India Poetess Conference (AIPC) International Congress recently.

Dr. Panda, a resident of Kharmalki, Shillong, was awarded for her contribution to Hindi literature.

She has published five books, 500 articles and presented 50 research papers at national and international seminars.

Dr. Panda had also received the first prize of Akashvani Annual Awards 2009 for being the author of a Hindi musical production Noh-Ka-Likai, produced by External Services Division, All India Radio, New Delhi.
