Assam Rifles nabs arms peddlers in Nagaland

Kohima: Based on specific information, 29 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles, launched an operation in general area Super Market in Dimapur and apprehended two arms peddlers, sources on Saturday said.

According to a statement of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), the individuals were apprehended last Wednesday along with one 7.65 mm pistol with magazine and assorted ammunition.

Both were identified as residents of Dimapur.

The duo along with recovered items were handed over to East Police Station of Dimapur, it said. (UNI)
