SHILLONG: The Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) organized a ‘Declamation Contest at Regional Level’ at Meghalaya Hall of Headquarters Eastern Air Command, IAF, Upper Shillong on Monday.

24 children from the entire Eastern Air Command region participated in the contest. The contest was open to children of AFWWA members who are studying in Class IX to XII.

Varsha Kaushik of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kalaikunda, Sumona Das of KV Borjhar and Shilpa Chaudhary of KV Hasimara were declared first, second and third prizes in Hindi Declamation Contest

respectively.

Shreya Kute of Kendriya Vidyalaya Upper Shillong, Sukhanna Bhardwaj of KV Digaru and Aditi Aggarwal of KV Kalaikunda bagged the first, second and third prizes in English Declamation Contest respectively.

Vice President AFWWA (Regional) Harbinder Walia who was the chief guest gave away the trophies and certificates to the participants.

The winners will represent Eastern Air Command in declamation contest to be held at central level at AFWWA New Delhi.
