Ibatinam Mawkroh has been awarded Ph.D by the Mizoram University for her thesis “Political Participation of Women in Meghalaya: A Comparative study of Khasi and Garo Women” under the supervision of Prof JK Patnaik, Department of Political Science, MZU. She is the daughter of Late P Balieh and Setila Mawkroh of Mawtneng Village, Ri Bhoi.
