Mediation programme

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority organised a two-day awareness cum training programme on mediation at the Secretariat recently.

The training programme was held to lay stress on mediation, which has successfully been used to resolve three cases have in Meghalaya.

The programme was organised in collaboration with the Mediation and Conciliation project Committee of the Supreme Court of India.

During the training, it was decided that a full-fledged training of mediators will be conducted in the state.

National Legal Services Authority member secretary Asha Menon also attended the programme.
