JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills Police have arrested one David Khongsit, an Assistant Engineer with CMCL (Star Cement) on molestation charge.
According to sources, Khongsit along with a friend on Sunday allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a lady, who is the next door neighbour of his friend.
An FIR in this connection was lodged on Monday morning.
According to police, the accused was released on bail since molestation is a bailable offence.
“We have registered a case under Section 354 of IPC”, a police officer said.
