Kohima: The Nagaland unit of BJP has welcomed two former Indian National Congress candidates Dr K Hoshi from Phek and Tsaepi Sangtam from Seyochung-Sitimi of Kiphire who have resigned from the party and joined the BJP fold.
In a statement, Nagaland BJP spokesperson James Vizo has also cautioned the party cadres to refrain from airing their personal views related to policy matters in the media as it creates confusion to the general public.
BJP hoped that their joining would strengthen the State BJP and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.
Meanwhile, the party spokesperson announced that the BJP National Council meeting would be held on August 9 at New Delhi to discuss the organisational structure along with other issues.
All India senior BJP members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are expected to participate in the said meeting. (UNI)
