Guwahati: The Assam government has allocated Rs 21,006.90 crore to different departments under the Plan head for financial year 2014-15, the state Assembly was informed on Tuesday.
Of this amount, the government has already released Rs 780.30 crore to the departments, Planning and Development Minister Tanka Bahadur Rai said in a written reply to a query by Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA Utpal Dutta.
The allocation, he said, was made as per the estimates of resources as no meeting has taken place yet between the state Chief Minister and the Planning Commission Deputy Commissioner.
The state Budget for 2014-15 will be presented on August 11 by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who also holds the Finance portfolio. Before Lok Sabha elections this year, a vote-on-account was passed till September. (PTI)
