A scooter heading towards Nongpiur Village from Shillong was involved in a collision with a local taxi at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. The pillion rider fractured his right leg during the collision which happened on August, 5 at 7pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Pomlum helped in shifting the pillion rider Charles Dkhar (40) to Shillong Civil Hospital.

In another two-wheeler related incident, Mebaai Dapbiang Sohphoh (11) riding pillion on a motorbike sustained injuries after she fell off the motorbike when it skidded at 17th Mile, Byrnihat under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District. The incident occurred on August 5 at 9pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting Mebaai Dapbiang Sohphoh to Byrnihat PHC.
