DC questions mudslinging in public

TURA: Outgoing Williamnagar deputy commissioner, V K Mantri has questioned the ongoing mudslinging being perpetrated by his counterpart from Tura, Pravin Bakshi, expressing shock and dismay.

Speaking to The Shillong Times from Mumbai where he is currently undergoing training, Mantri said that he has been shocked over the accusations levelled against him and the newspaper reports on the sanitation project. “I am equally shocked to see the reports of school toilet reports in the newspapers. We have submitted the report to the government on 17th December-2013,” said Mantri. He added, “I have not given these reports to the media. I’m presently undergoing training in Mumbai. I have no idea how it is leaked.”

Showering praise on his colleague from Tura, who shockingly had branded him deviant and delinquent, Mantri said he has full respect for Bakshi. “I respect him as he is my senior who guided me on many occasions. I will not do anything to damage his image,” said Mantri.
