SHILLONG: The CSWO has asked the State Government to investigate into the allegation of total sanitation scam in Garo Hills and also sought the Government’s intervention to prevent any escalation of the war of words between two Deputy Commissioners – Pravin Bakshi and Vijay Mantri.

“Government funds are being openly misused and no action is ever taken against powerful politicians, bureaucrats or senior officers. The law is equal to everyone, big and small, and the CSWO demands that action should not be delayed against powerful people as this is against the Constitution and against people’s mandate,” CSWO said in a statement on Wednesday.
