DoNER, NEC sanction 3 new projects for Nagaland

Kohima: The Ministry of Development of North East Region (DoNER) under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources Scheme (NLCPR) and North Eastern Council (NEC) has sanctioned three new projects for Nagaland.
According to an official release, this was stated by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North East Region General (Retd.) Dr V K Singh in Lok Sabha Wednesday that the new project sanctioned under NLCPR during the current financial year include up-gradation of 132/66/33 KV Grid Sub-station at Nagarjan, Dimapur.
The approved cost of this new project, which was sanctioned on July 1, 2014, is Rs 1705.43 lakh and a total amount of Rs 613.95 lakh has been released.
The press release further said that another two new projects sanctioned by North Eastern Council to Nagaland during the current financial year include the construction of Government High School auditorium cum multi-utility at Longsa under Mokokchung district of Nagaland (sanctioned on June 12, 2014) and infrastructure development of Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung (sanctioned on June 13, 2014).
While Rs 117.42 lakh has been released for construction of GHS auditorium cum multi-utility center at Longsa, the approved cost of this project is Rs 326.17 Lakh. Meanwhile, Rs 267.94 lakh has been released of the approved cost Rs 744.29 lakh for infrastructure dev of Mayangnokcha GHSS. (UNI)
