Pop star Justin Bieber, who had a video chat with Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, now wants to meet the 17-year-old in person.
Yousafzai hit headlines in 2012 when the Taliban shot her in head for championing girls’ rights to an education.
The youngster survived the attack and went on to set up the Malala Fund to campaign for female education around the world.
Bieber shared a screenshot of a video call with Yousafzai, Wednesday. He posted the snap on Instagram and told fans he is searching for ways to help her organisation.
He wrote: “Just got to FaceTime (video chat) with Malala Yousafzai. She has such an incredible story. I can’t wait to meet her in person and talk about how I can support her and the @malalafund. (IANS)
