Encephalitis toll 388 in Assam

Guwahati: The death toll in the outbreak of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in Assam has touched 388, official sources said on Saturday. Besides, around 2,170 affected people are being treated at various hospitals. The outbreak has been reported from 25 districts. Dima Hasao and Hailakandi are the only two districts from where no incident of people being affected by the virus has been reported so far. (PTI)
