1st Div: Mawlai ease past Smit

SHILLONG: Mawlai eased past Smit with a 2-0 win in a First Division match played  at the Polo Grounds on Monday. Displaying a strong performance, Mawlai dominated most part of the game.
Smit’s M Dkhar scored an own goal in the 59th minute to hand Mawlai the lead. There was no looking back from there on as Mawlai dominate all along. C War doubled the lead for them in the 85th minute dashing all hopes of a Smit comeback.

Umlyngka thrash Mylliem 4-1

In a Third Division match on Monday, Umlyngka demolished Mylliem 4-1 thanks to a hat trick by M. Kharbuki. Kharbuki scored in the 6th, 50th, and 66th minutes to virtually steal th game away from the opponents.
R. Syiemiong found the nets post the 70th minute to make it 4-1 for Umlyngka. F Kharbangar netted Mylliem’s only goal in the 54th minute of the match.
On August 12th, Pohkseh face Laban in a First Division game at 4 pm while Rynjah will play Marbisu at 4:15 pm.
