Theft cases

On August 10 at around 7 am, miscreants stole two tyres of Power Tiller belonging to Playerstone from Borhil near Lyngkhat (EKH).

On August 9, miscreants stole a purse containing cash Rs.200, two ATM cards among others from one Ibahunlin Kurbah at Jeep Stand, Shillong.

On August 8 night, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Arphiyoo Lipon at Khimusniang, Jowai (WJH) and stole Laptop computer, mobile phone and cash Rs.500.

On August 8 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08D-5425) belonging to Tariang A Sangma from Lower Chandmari, Tura (WGH).

On August 8, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Plentina Dillar at Mawiong Umjapung, Nengnong-A, Shillong and stole grocery items.

Gautam Garodia lodged a complaint at Pillangkata OP that on August 5 night, unknown miscreants stole one dumper truck (AS-01-DC-9576) from a labour camp at Maikhuli, Pillangkata (RB).

Attempt to rape cases

Ngeitlang Challam lodged a complaint at Umroi PIC that on August 10 at about 4.30 am, one Hilarius Sharing attempted to rape the complaint’s daughter at Umsohlait village (Ri Bhoi).

On August 10 at around 6.30 pm, one Baniaraplang Marsharing (30) attempted to rape one sixteen-year-old girl at Umsohpieng village (Ri Bhoi).

On August 10 at around 12.30 pm, one Donal Bareh (18) attempted to rape one seventeen-year-old girl at Lower Cleve Colony, Shillong and fled away.

Molester assaulted

On August 8 at around 5.30 pm, one Sukhdev Rai molested one girl inside a local taxi at Demseiniong near NEEPCO, Shillong. Following this, the public assaulted the accused person and as a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Nuisance

On August 10 at around 12.30 pm, four persons Takam Suraj (25), Dapjum Jiten (26), Kum Nitin (24) and Tahan Paleh were creating nuisance and fighting among themselves under the influence of liquor at Motinagar, Shillong. Police detained them and matter is under enquiry.

Arrest

On August 9, Police arrested one Tenggat N Arengh (21s) of Asim Agal, Mangsang East Garo Hills in connection with a dacoity case under Rongjeng Police station.

Assault cases

One Kailash Varma lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on August 9, Dushant Varma and Kamla Varma, assaulted and threatened him with dire consequences at Hotel Pegasus Crown, Police Bazar.

In a counter FIR, Dushant Varma lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on August 9 at around 9 am, one Kailash Varma and his associates entered Hotel Pegasus Crown at Police Bazar and stole SIM cards of the hotel employees, account books and cash Rs.14,000 from the reception.

On August 8 at around 4 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted one Konnes Marak (54) at Survey of India Complex, Malki, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

On August 7 at around 7 pm, two persons Elbirth Sangma and Manuel Sangma assaulted and threatened Sombalin Sangma with dire consequences in her residence at Watregre Songgital (WGH).

ATM damaged

On August 7, unknown miscreants damaged the keyboard of an SBI ATM Booth at Mawlai Motsyiar, Shillong.

NGT ban violation

On August 7 night, while on vehicle checking duty at Nongpoh (RB), Police detected two coal laden trucks (ML-10A-7384 & AS-01-EC-0862) driven by Francis Nongphlang and Klospingwell Lyngkhoi respectively and seized both the trucks.

Threat

Nang Phawa lodged a complaint at Jowai police station that on August 6 at around 11.30 am, one Bli Suna threatened her with dire consequences at her house in Lumpohsiej, Khliehtyrshi (WJH).

Missing

Enoush M Momin lodged a complaint at Kharkutta OP that his mother Gendamori M Momin was found missing from her residence at Baksalpara village (NGH), since August 5, 2014.
