Look out notice

Police has issued a look out notice for Morning Star Lyngdoh (50), wanted in connection with the murder of his wife on July 3 at Laitmynsaw village. Anyone having any information about him can contact police.

Enrollment drive

A mass enrollment drive of beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme will be held on August 16 a Polo Ground Parking Lot from 11 am. Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.

Quiz competition

The Society for Welfare of the Disabled held an inter-school Quiz programme on August 8 as part of its year-long silver jubilee celebrations. Eight schools took part in the competition. Nongthymmai MLA Jemino Mawthoh was the chief guest.

Librarian’s Day

NEHU central library celebrated Librarian’s Day on Tuesday at NEHU. There was an official inauguration of the special display of indigenous artifacts of Meghalaya on the occasion.
