1st Div Football: Laban continue to impress

Shillong: A twin strike by K Pale made way for a 4-2 First Division win for Laban against Lawmali Pyllun on Saturday at Polo Grounds.
Pale opened the scoring in just the 7th minute before adding one more goal in the 56th minute.
AS Nongrum contributed one in the 26th minute after his team mate E Lakiang scored a goal on his own side two minutes earlier.
P Wahlang added another for Lawmali to reduce the margin to 3-2 but A Krose fired in Laban’s fourth goal in the 82nd minute to finish it off 4-2 for Laban.
Meanwhile, Nongmynsong earned a narrow yet convincing 1-0 victory over Mawshbuit in a Third Division encounter. S. Diengmon was the match winner with a 52nd minute strike. On Monday, Nongkrem face Laitlyngkot in the First Division at 4 pm while Lumpyngad and Lumdiengjri will lock horns in a Third Division match on the same day at 4:15 pm.
