Damewan Suchiang has been awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics for his thesis “Study of Medium Energy Charged Particle scattering of long lived actinides and structural materials in nuclear reactions” under the supervision of Prof. B.M. Jyrwa from NEHU. He is the son of late Jendrowel Sungoh and Noni Suchiang of Shangpung Pohshnong, West Jaintia Hills District.
