SHILLONG: In an irony of sorts, while the last date for sending applications for the post of enforcement Inspectors under the Commissioner of Transport was fixed by Meghalaya Public Service Commission till July 31 this year, the written examination for the post was already conducted by MPSC on July 19!.

As per the notification for application posted in its website, the MPSC said that the last date for receiving application was up to 5pm on July 31.

However, as per the new post at the MPSC website, the written examination was already held on July 19.

“On the basis of the result of the written examination for the post of enforcement Inspector under Directorate of Transport Department held on July 19, the candidates bearing the following roll numbers are declared to have qualified to appear for the personal interview”, the MPSC said. The personal interview for the total 42 candidates, who cleared the written examination, was fixed for August 22 and 25.

When tried to contact, the chairperson of MPSC, L R Sangma did not return the call.
