TGCSU opposes JM Lyngdoh recommendation

TURA: The Tura Government College Students’ Union (TGCSU) has expressed opposition to the recommendation made by former Chief Election Commissioner of India, J.M. Lyngdoh, with regard to the conduct of elections of the students’ union.

“We consider our union as an independent body which is formed by exercising our rights provided under Article 19 of the Indian Constitution,” TGCSU general secretary, Balkarin Ch Marak, said in a statement.
