TURA: Various NGOs from Dalu including FKJGP, GSU and Mothers’ Union along with the local populace of the region have appealed for the withdrawal of the indefinite strike called by the SBI in protest against the abduction of one of its officials who remains in the captivity of the abductors till date.
The NGOs stated that while normal life of the people of Garo Hills have been greatly affected by the indefinite strike, it would, however, not deter the abductors as their only motive was to extort money.
