Training for pre-primary, primary teachers

SHILLONG: A three-day workshop programme for pre-primary and primary teachers concluded at Rajeev Gandhi Nursery Teachers’ Training Academy here on Friday.
The concluding function was graced by Nongthymmai legislator Jemino Mawthoh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mawthoh stressed on the need of training for primary level teachers to enable them to build a strong foundation for a better society and emphasized on the need for teachers to use computer technology in imparting knowledge.
The chief guest also presented certificates of participation to each of the teacher trainees.
The objective of the workshop was to impart training on techniques and skills of teaching at pre-primary and primary levels. The workshop also shared knowledge on child psychology to enable teachers to understand and know how to deal with children in need of special attention.
The workshop programme was attended by teachers from 16 different schools of the city.
