Police register case against three for dumping garbage

SHILLONG: Police have registered a non-FIR case against some people who were caught dumping garbage alongside the Bomfyle Road near Shillong College in the city on Monday.
East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang informed that on receiving information from a concerned citizen that some people in a mini truck (ML05-E-9986) were seen dumping garbage alongside the Bomfyle Road in Shillong College area, police intercepted the vehicle and seized it.
The truck was registered in the name of Legacy Cake Shop of Police Bazar.
Kharkrang said that a non-FIR case under Section 34 IPC was registered against the driver and two other occupants who were dumping the garbage.
Public have been requested the general public to provide information to police in case they come across such irresponsible behaviour.
