Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at the Narsing Akhara , Qualapatty. The festival was organized by Anyavarta Ganesh Puja Samiti .

R.B. Anupchand Hindi High School celebrated Ganesh Puja with pomp and gaiety on Thursday. Along with the present students, past pupils of the school were also present on the occasion. The day-long programme included distribution of prasad, singing of bhajans etc.

Choir competition

The Inter School Choir competition “Sing for Shillong” will be held on September 1 at State Central Library from 10 am to 2 pm. The event is being organised by Jyoti Sroat Inclusive School, Bethany Society.

Eye camp

The Lions Club of Shillong will organize a free eye screening camp on September 1 at Canton Board School, Lukier Road, Shillong. Approximately 350 children will attend the camp.
