TURA: The Border Security Force (BSF) Inter Battalion Frontier Level Athletic meet concluded at MP Stadium, Tura on Saturday in which Madan Singh Rathore, PPMG, PMG, PMG (Bar), DIG BSF, Tura was the Chief Guest.
The four day athletic meet which began on August 27 at MP Stadium, Tura under the overall supervision of 132 Bn BSF concluded on Saturday after an impressive closing ceremony. BSF personnel from 9 Battalions deployed in Meghalaya participated in the competition.
The 73 Battalion BSF from Shillong were the overall Champions after clinching 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals while 132 Bn BSF from Tura were the Runners Up with 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.
ASI /Radio Mechanic Ganesh Kothari of 73 Bn BSF from Shillong bagged 3 Gold medals and was adjudged the best athlete of the meet.
