Bus mishap case

TURA: Taking cognizance of the bus accident at Dollonggre on Thursday night in which four passengers lost their lives and several others sustained serious injuries, West Garo Hills police have filed a Suo Moto case.

The driver of the Air Bus night service, Dilbag Singh (26) who was driving the ill-fated vehicle on that night has been placed under armed watch in Tura civil hospital where he is admitted with injuries sustained in the mishap.

Police are also awaiting the report from the Motor Vehicle Inspector to ascertain the cause of the accident even as several passengers have claimed that the vehicle was speeding at the time of the incident.
