SHILLONG: City police have arrested four members of the newly-formed Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) for failing to make payment for the petrol they bought from a city petrol pump on Sunday evening.
Informing this here on Monday, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang Kharkhrang said the four were arrested from a car (ML 05 J 7092), in which petrol was filled, from Khyndailad area.
According to him all the arrested persons — Clefaston Marbaniang (21), Kyntiewborlang Marbaniang (21), Alom Nongtyner ( 22) and Phron Khongwir (24), all from Mawlai-are members of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC).
“The four instead of paying in cash gave a receipt of the organization,” Kharkhrang informed.
Except one of, all others are school drop-outs and they were remanded to three-day police custody, he said
