Two Myanmar nationals held with heroin

Aizawl: Two women Myanmar nationals were arrested here for possessing 22 grams of heroin by Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials.

Lalbiakhnem (26) and Lalrikhumi (39) were arrested from two separate localities in the city Monday night and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, state Excise and Narcotics Department spokesman Peter Zohmingthanga said on Tuesday.

While 17 grams heroin was seized from one of the woman arrested from Tuirial Airfield at the outskirts of the city,remaining five grams was found in possession from the other woman caught inside the Aizawl Civil Hospital compound, he said. (PTI)
