Militants execute villager in GH

 TURA: Security forces are combing the forests of Chokpot in South Garo Hills to confirm reports about the execution of a villager at the hands of Garo militants on Wednesday night.

Police sources inform that a villager was reportedly shot dead at Kenigre village, near Chokpot town, as per information given by villagers.

The killing is said to have taken place on Wednesday night.

“Some reports have come in about an incident and our forces are on the ground trying to ascertain the facts. As of now we cannot say anything until we see some evidence,” informed district police chief Lakador Syiem.

Unconfirmed reports mention that Garo militants executed one villager for allegedly being a police collaborator.
