MLCU observes Natl Nutrition Week

SHILLONG: Martin Luther Christian University celebrated National Nutrition Week by organizing various events, competitions and workshop from September 1-4.

As part of the week-long observation, the Allied Health Sciences department of MLCU on Thursday organised a one-day seminar on Nutrition which was attended by Dr. Lalrinthuangi, Consultant, National Rural Health Mission and Sheila Thangkhiew, Consultant Dietician, Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, as resource persons.

Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the various events organised throughout the week.

Earlier in the week, a health workshop was also held where students, teachers and the non-teaching staff were given a thorough checkup including blood pressure, temperature, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood grouping and eye checkup.
