SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Post Graduate Students Union, NEHU, Shillong, has condemned the commotion that took place inside the hostel premises of NEHU on August 30 and 31.

The incidents have immensely disturbed the peace and harmony of the entire university, the Union said, while holding it as unacceptable. “Such things have occurred in the past and have tarnished the image of the University,” it said.

The Union urged all concerned to avoid such heinous incidents in the future which may affect the cordial relationship among the different communities studying in the University.

The Union has already taken an initiative with the concerned authority so that peaceful atmosphere is restored in the University.
