SHILLONG: S Harry demolished Boys Sports Company, scoring five goals for Nangkiew Irat in their Shillong Premier League (SPL) match on Saturday at the JN Complex.

Boys Sports were left stunned as they failed to cope with the pressure applied on them early on.

Harry opened the scoring in the 6th minute before adding four more in the 36th, 52nd, 83rd (p), and 90+1. D. Singh scored one in the 40th minute before R. Sympli made it 5-0 in the 69th minute. S. Hmar contributed an 89th minute strike before Harry finished off the game to make it 8-0.

Meanwhile, Madan Laban squeezed out a 2-1 win against Mawkhar in a Second Division game at Ground III. Madan Laban took the lead when M. Ryonga fired one in the 47th minute before Lalremtluanga scored another goal in the 60th minute.

Mawkhar’s hopes of a comeback got a boost when E Rynjah scored in the 67th minute. But Mawkhar failed to capitalise on their chances and subsequently went down 2-1.

In a Third Division match, Mawkriah West and Umlyngka drew 0-0. In another Third Division game, Nongrim Hills proved their dominance over close neighbours Rynjah with a 2-1 victory. R. Kharkongor provided an early 10th minute advantage for Nongrim while A. Mawthoh made it 2-0 in the 47th minute.
