New Delhi: A 30-year-old woman from Manipur was allegedly stabbed by two men, one of whom was a former colleague here on Monday evening in south west Delhi’s Dwarka area.

Sylvia Vaiphei, who lives with her sister and brother-in-law in Dwarka Sector 22, had gone to the market around 6 pm when the two men confronted her, pushed her to the ground and stabbed her and fled the spot. She had stab injuries in her neck and legs, and was rushed to a hospital, where her condition is said to be stable.

In her statement to the police, Vaiphei has identified one of the attackers as one of her former colleague at a private firm in Gurgaon, with whom she had an old conflict, a senior police official said.

A case has been registered at Dwarka Sector 23 police station based on Sylvia’s statement and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. (PTI)
