Two militants, coal smuggler held in border

SHILLONG: BSF troops deployed at border outpost Chandaboi in West Garo Hills on Friday apprehended one UALA cadre identified as Lenush Marak (35) and anther AMEF cadre identified as Alban Sangma (30) both hailing from South Garo Hills while they were trying to cross over to Bangladesh.

During search, three mobiles with two Indian SIM cards were recovered from their possession.

In another incident, BSF troops deployed in South West Khasi Hills apprehended one Indian coal smuggler identified as Jentil Marak (40) from Borsora, South West Khasi Hills while he was trying to cross into Bangladesh.

During search, 1 coal bag (50 Kg) and 1 mobile with one Bangladeshi SIM were recovered from his possession.
