SHILLONG: Wait for Mukul Sangma loyalists for berth in the Cabinet prolongs as the Congress High Command has neither taken any decision on the demand for change of leadership as put forward by the dissident group nor has given any green signal to the Chief Minister to drop the ‘dissidents’ from the ministry

While the dissidents are waiting for the final word from the Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the issue of change of leadership, those who chose to remain with the Chief Minister are waiting to join the Cabinet.

One of the loyalists of Sangma went to the extent of criticizing the former Chief Minister SC Marak for supporting the cause of the dissidents just to appease the Chief Minister and find a place in the Ministry.

After the first meeting of the dissidents with Congress President Sonia Gandhi , some loyalists of the Chief Minister had even spread the rumours that the Chief Minister and his supporters met the AICC President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi and that the Chief Minister even got the nod from AICC to drop the dissident ministers .

A party source said that there is no direction from AICC to drop any ministers and at the same time no decision has been taken on the demand for a change of leadership.
