SHILLONG: Meghalaya Police FT failed to overcome newcomers Boys Sports Company in a Shillong Premiere League match played at Polo grounds on Friday as the match ended in a goalless draw.
Boys Sports did well to hold back their rivals and survived the game after proving to be tough to crack.
In Second Division, Sohryngkham played out to a 2-1 win over Mawpat in a game that saw two penalties being scored.
Sohryngkham scored first in the 42nd minute through M. Kharpran before Mawpat came back after being offered a penalty. F. Mylliemngap was the scorer in the 50th minute. However, Sohryngkham also enforced the second penalty of the match in the 68th minute which was calmly converted by L. Warkhyllew.
Meanwhile, Umlyngka scored a decisive 57th minute goal that put them in front against Lumdiengjri in a Third Division tie. M. Kharbuki scored a penalty that set the final result at 1-0 in favour of Umlyngka.
In another Third Division game, Sawmer crushed Pynthorbah 3-0.
