JOWAI: One Coming Rabon, prime accused in the twin-murder case that rocked Jaintia Hills recently, surrendered before the Officer IC, Phramer Traffic Cell, on Friday evening.

Rabon is accused of murdering a JHADC employee, Jelbin Roy Dkhar, and his pregnant sister Ribaitmi Dkhar, who were brutally killed inside a car they were travelling on from Barato village to Jowai.

“We have been hunting him for a long time and with his surrender, the twin murder case registered at Jowai PS under Section 302/ 34 IPC has been solved,” informed West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police Herbert G. Lyngdoh.

Earlier, police had arrested six suspects, while Rabon, the prime accused, remained elusive, prompting the police to put up a ‘wanted reward’ notice in a section of the media.
