Preparations for 32nd State TT C’ships on

SHILLONG:The tournament will be held from September 22-24 2014 at UTS indoor Stadium Shillong. The entries are pouring in daily in large numbers from different parts of the State.

Meanwhile the 2nd State ranking tournament had started from yesterday and all the renowned paddlers from the State had participated to improve their ranking for inclusion in the State team for National tournaments.

Two notable budding TT talent in this year entry are Adarsh Chettri and Aryan Joshi who had defeated last year champion.

In men’s Singles Semifinal, the biggest upset of the tournament is that, the young upcoming talent Bibek Das of Class IX from St. Edmunds School had beaten the senior Men Debanjan Sarkar 3-1.

The senior most notableplayer Kyrshanborlang Ranee also lost to new upcoming player Prithvi Dey. In Girls & Women section all won by Tanushree Das Gupta in her category of Junior, Youth and Women.
